DELSU Employs 12 Best Graduating Students, Expels 21 Others For Sundry Offences

No fewer than 12 Best Graduating Students of the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka were at the weekend offered automatic employment by the management of the institution, while 21 others were expelled for alleged forgery and sundry offences.

Some of the beneficiaries were given automatic employment as lecturers while others were employed as assistant lecturers.

The occasion was the Oath/Induction Ceremony of the 2012/2013 set of Bachelor of Nursing Science graduates.

Speaking at the event, the vice chancellor of the university, Professor Victor Peretomode, explained that the training of nurses like every other profession has always been capital intensive, adding that the university cannot transfer the heavy financial burden to the parents of the students.
