Kwarapoly honours ex-corps member

The Kwara State Polytechnic on Monday honoured a 2013 National Youth Service Corps Presidential Award recipient, Mr. Akeem Ojetola, who is a 2011 graduate of Banking and Finance of the institution.

Ojetola served in Abia State between 2011 and 2012 and was one of the corps members honoured by former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Equally honoured are the institution’s medallists at the 2014 Nigerian Polytechnic Games and Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed’s Second Term Athletics Competition.

The Rector, KwaraPoly, Alhaji Mas’ud Elelu,on the occasion urged students to always distinguish themselves.

According to him, the students have written their alma mater’s name in gold.

He pledged the institution’s support for the former corps member, and challengedthe other honourees to effectively combine sports with academic excellence.Elelu said, “I recognise the performances of the awardees.

They have represented us effectively at various capacities. And today history is made and it is forever andever.”
