UNILORIN, UNIUYO induct 122 medical graduates

No fewer than 122 medical doctors have graduated from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, and the University of Uyo, Akwa IbomvState.

While 95 persons graduated from UNILORIN, 27
passed out from UNIUYO.

The, UNILORIN Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ambali, who announced that 80 males and 15 females graduated from the college of medicine this year, noted that the statistics brings to 4,157 medical graduates that have passed out from the ivory tower since 1983.

Urging them to remain committed to the profession, Ambali said that human life remained sacred.

The Provost, College of Health Sciences of the University, Prof. Wahab Johnson, said the college had recorded many achievements in medical sciences.

Meanwhile, 27 doctors passed out from UNIUYO this year at a ceremony attended by the VC, Prof. Comfort Ekpo.

In attendance also were the Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Prof. Memfin Ekpo, as well as Dr. Victor Gbenro, who represented the Registrar, Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, Dr. Abdulmumini Ibrahim.
