UNILORIN Inducts 31 New Medical Doctors

The College of Health Sciences of the University of Ilorin yesterday inducted 31 new medical doctors .
Speaking during the professional initiation and admission ceremony for the 2015 Batch B medical graduates, the university’s Vice Chancellor, Professor AbdulGaniyu Ambali, urged the medical doctors to be professional in their dealings.

The VC who was represented by deputy vice chancellor (Academics),Prof. Sidikat Ijaya, asked the medical practitioners to be good ambassadors of the institution by not involving in any act that would bring the good image of the institution to disrepute.

The Provost, College of Health Sciences, Provost, Rotimi Johnson noted that the institution “has continued to turn out on yearly basis, well-trained medical doctors who have continued to contribute quantitatively and qualitatively to health-care needs of our beloved nation.

“Over the years, the products of our medical programme are currently professors and medical administrators in several institutions within Nigeria and in the diaspora”.

In his remarks, the Deputy Chairman of Kwara State Branch of Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Dr. Kunle Olawepo, challenged the inductees to make compassion, professionalism and integrity as the hallmark of duty.
