AAUA Consummates Affiliations with Ekiti Poly & Abuja College

Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria, on Tuesday, signed separate Memoranda of Understanding for degree programme affiliation with the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, and Angel Crown College of Education, Abuja, respectively.

Signing the agreement on behalf of the University, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun, thanked the two institutions for showing interest and trust in AAUA.

He particularly appreciated the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Taiwo Akande, for the good job she is doing, saying, “It’s a testimonial to your passion for the development of education.”

Prof. Ajibefun said the Memoranda of Understanding would open a new chapter in the development of the polytechnic and the college, adding, “This agreement will bring about other opportunities that will strengthen the relationship between us.”

The VC, however, stressed the need for sincerity such that the agreements could be sustained to benefit the participating institutions.

In her response, Dr. Akande said, “When I assumed office seven years ago as Rector, my priority was to build this type of bridges across institutions both within and outside the country, and I am proud to inform you that AAUA is the first University in Nigeria we are signing an MoU with.

“The reason why we have chosen AAUA for this affiliation is because of the quality of its programmes. We have looked at the MoU and the terms are very okay by us. We can only express our gratitude for granting us this opportunity.”

The Provost of the College, Mr. Samuel Osahon, thanked the Prof. Ajibefun-led administration for approving the affiliation, and promised to be faithful to the signed agreement.
