OAU Schools of Nursing Admission Form now on Sale – 2015/16

OAU Teaching Hospital Schools of Nursing, Perioperative Nursing and Post Basic General Nursing  admission forms for the 2014/2015 academic session are now on sale.
Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife following programs:
BASIC GENERAL NURSING
POST BASIC GENERAL NURSING
PERI-OPERATIVE

I.    BASIC GENERAL NURSING

This is a three-year program commencing in October, 2015.
REQUIREMENT
Applicants must possess: WAEC/SSCE/GCE or NECO, SSCE/GCE 5 Credits (at not more than two sittings) in English language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. He or She should be at least Seventeen (17) years old on admission.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Application forms are obtainable from Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Schools of Nursing, Ife Hospital Unit, Ile-Ife and Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa at a cost of Five Thousand (N5,000.00) Naira only payable by cash to:

CLOSING DATE
Completed application form should be returned to the office of the Principal, Schools of Nursing, I.H.U. and W.G.H. respectively on or before 28th May, 2015.
DATE OF ENTRANCE EXAMINATION
Entrance examination shall be conducted by the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Nursing & Midwifery Committee on Saturday, 6th June, 2015.

II.    POST BASIC GENERAL NURSING

REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:-
possess WAEC,SSCE/GCE or NECO,SSCE/GCE – 5 Credits (at not more than two sittings) in English language, Mathematics and three Sciences i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
be a Registered Midwife or Psychiatric Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
have at least one year post registration working experience after the mandatory Community one year service (Midwives only).
TEST AND SELECTION INTERVIEW
Written Test 30th June, 2015
Oral Interview 2nd & 3rd July, 2015.

III.    PERI-OPERATIVE NURSING

This is a Twelve (12) month program commencing in November, 2015
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:-
possess the WAEC,SSCE/GCE or NECO, SSCE/GCE with at least 5 Credits (at not more than two sittings) in English Language and at least one Science subject i.e. Physics, Chemistry or Biology for candidates who finished General Nursing before 2006.
possess English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology for Candidates who finished General Nursing from 2006.
be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
have at least one year post qualification experience.
