The Minister of Education, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, during a media interaction and awards ceremony in Kano revealed that the Federal Government is set to sponsor 100 first class graduates for further studies abroad under the Special Presidential Scholarship Programme.
According to the Minister, the president has instructed the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) to screen and select the best graduates from all over the country irrespective of their locations and secure admission for them in foreign universities for studies up to Ph.D level.
